THE LAST MELON!!!

Well this is the last email you will ever hear from me as a missionary in Denmark.... and in General. Whoa now that is weird haha. This has been a great week as a missionary. I have never been happier to be serving right now! My joy is just full to spend everyday and take a few more days to serve my Heavenly Father! We had a great Zone Conference. I got to hear all of my MTC group give their final testimonies, also yours truly, and the departing testimony of President and Sister Sederholm. I love all them so much!! It has been an honor and privilege to be serving along these chosen servants of God! What a strong and powerful day that was. President Sederholm closed with his testimony on the Book of Mormon but also on the Savior. One of the most powerful testimonies I have heard him give concerning the Savior.

Ironically we had a Multi-Stake conference broadcast from Scotland. Presiding was Elder Jeffery R. Holland of the quorum of the twelve apostles! I say ironically because he gave his testimony and witness of the Book of Mormon and the Savior. A very powerful message and amazing time to listen to him speak and with the power of the Holy Spirit, helped confirm yet again the divinity of this work.

I do not find it coincidence that both of these Servants of the Lord have been inspired to share these two special and sacred things. I add my witness of the Book of Mormon that it is true! That it brings all mankind around the world to our Savior Jesus Christ! I know that He lives! I have received confirmation after confirmation concerning this! Especially on my mission. Now I rather you hear it in the most understandable language that I know. So I decided to record my quick testimony for y'all. I will also do this in Danish when I get home haha. But I want no mistake for anyone, to misunderstand, that I know that He LIVES! He is the Son of the Living God! He is the Savior of the World! We can all come unto Him whenever we want. Whenever we need him. When were happy, sad or any feelings that we have. He can heal us. He can strength us. He is my master and King! I am grateful to have been able to carry his name on my chest for the past two years! Please go and find Him! You will find that, if you have not already found Him, that there is something that has been missing in your life. He can fill the missing piece that you never new was lost. He loves you! He wants you to return to live with our Heavenly Father. And this is the desire of my Heart! I love you all and truly thank you for everything that you have ever helped me with in these past two years and actually the past 20 years. I will see you all in 2 weeks time! Until then,

Love always and Forever as a young Elder Missionary =(

Cramming 2 years into 4 pics

Man what a week. Well not too much to update on. It's been really quick. And I'm sorry but this email is going to be a shorty haha. Hey lots to do haha. Pretty much for the low down on the week it's been lots of cancelled appointments but lots of spiritual teaching in and outside of appointments. But I need to make this short so that I can get going on deciding on my banner pictures. I have two years to go through for 4 pictures haha. I hope everyone is having a great week. Love you all and I'll talk with you next week.

CPR= Church Prayer and Reading

Sorry for the delay, yesterday was the Danish holiday of 2nd Pentecostal day. We only had one computer and our system wasn't working. Not much time today. I'm going into physical therapy for my knee. So real quickly I want to relay an awesome experience!

What an amazing week!!!!! We had an awesome lesson with a couple that we've been working with!!! It was pretty much the 'do or die' lesson. Been really hard to meet with them recently and there hasn't been much interest in the past for progression. And we both figured that we needed to talk with them about coming church and see what their hold up was, mainly because I'm their last long lasting relationship that they have until the Skive elders take over next transfer. We both knew, since zone training that now was the time to invite them to church and help them with their concerns. Especially after doing the roll plays in Zone training.

It was pretty straight forward. We first expressed and affirmed them that we loved them and that we were servants of the Lord and the message that we had for them is to be a blessing in their lives if they apply what they learn. Elder Durrant began speaking about CPR. Church, Prayer, and Reading. We've already talked about prayer and reading many times and there was no more need of that. They agreed 'But we want to talk about Church, now we have to ask, I've been here for 6 months now, ''Why don't you come to church''?' The less active member began expressing that it was a financial problem, that he didn't have nice clothes, and that he wanted to start getting in the habit of reading, praying and getting a stronger testimony before coming back. His girlfriend/ investigator also expressed that she wanted to get in the same habit of reading and praying because the Church just seemed fuzzy to her still. She wanted a more for sure answer.

So we began with explaining the why of coming to church. It was completely evident from the boyfriends face that he knew what was coming. I've seen this look before from him and it was a look of not interested in coming. I'm not going to lie, I was beginning to doubt in what we had planned. I've always been nervous of giving this lesson, but my fears were dashed away as we starting teaching and testifying! But it was interesting to see the giant ''brick wall'' that the boyfriend had built up, slowly begin to crumble. He began to be more interested and open. We started by talking about the baptismal covenant and read Moroni 4 and broke it down for them. Explaining that it was so essential as members of the church to get this weekly. Emphasizing that when we come the Lord promises, when we remember and obey, that we will ALWAYS have his Spirit to be with us. Explaining that we come to get a weekly boost of spiritual growth as we partake and enjoy the sacrament and the meetings. At the end we gave them three promises 1) if you don't have clothes than we will buy some for you 2) If you continue in the pattern of what you are doing, reading and praying for a time and than not. And repeat. Than you will never progress farther that what you've accomplished now. There will always be fuzziness as long as you keep doing this pattern. 3)Now if you start making a weekly effort of coming to church than that fuzziness will vanish and you will have a more clear understanding of spiritual growth. If you walk into the church and talk with the branch president and explain that you want to come back and get a stronger testimony, than he will be able to help you. We are willing to help you anyway possible. Now we have to ask ''Will you please come to church and renew, and start making, covenants with God to get that testimony and spiritual growth?'' They responded yes!!!! Truly the feeling of preaching and testifying with power and authority was evident in that room! We were bold, loving and teaching simply. The Spirit confirmed what we were saying and testified of what promises He was making to them.

The branch was just over joyed to see them!!!! The less actives mom, drove them. They brought their son, 1 1/2 years old, and the branch just started rejoicing that they had a family with a baby in church. (because the youngest active member in the branch, besides the missionaries, is about 60 years old) Words cannot describe the joy that was in that church building. And they had a great time and look forward to next week! It is just amazing to see this family come back to church. It actually filled the church up a little bit haha.

This has been the ultimate highlight of the week for me!!! Such a powerful moment and if they keep it up they, they boyfriend will be reactivated in the following weeks! Hope everyone enjoyed the story. Have a great week!

Over Exceeding our goals in Viborg

It has been an absolute thrill this week with Elder Durrant. I really don't know how it happened but we have been teaching left and right! I've never taught so many lessons in one week, especially in Viborg. We even over-exceeded some of our goals! And I am not even counting the people that Elder Metcalf and Elder Jensen found the previous week. These people who we are not teaching have been appearing left and right out here. People randomly being at appointments, and in turn, turned into new investigators. This week has just gone by so fast.

On one occasion we had dinner with our 4 new investigators. After we ate we taught the Restoration. And may I just say that this has been one of the best Restoration lessons I have ever taught on my mission! We taught about different dispensations up to our Savior. After talking about him we showed the Because He Lives Video. And it was just so powerful to just bring the Spirit into the lesson. It completely caught me off guard to see that we didn't have to wait til the first vision to have a huge spiritual experience but it came much before because of the video! We testified of the Savior and we were invited to come back this next week. We also received 2 referrals from them. One of them came from a man named Morton, who said that he would like us come to his church club and have us present the same thing to them!

I really don't know what is going on in the city of Viborg, but already we have a ton of appointments lined up for this coming week! If I ever needed some physical witness that this work really is hastening.... well I think I found at least on of them. Such an honor and a privilege to be working in this part of the Lord's Vineyard at this precious time. A quick shout out to all Mothers! Love you Mom! And I am so happy I could talk with you yesterday! Love you so much!!! Have a wonderful week everyone!!

Nice little friend across the street

and Elder Durrant being camera shy =)

I get Elder Durrant, Elder Jensen gets to buy me a milkshake from our bet!!!!!!! :)

Killing Eldste Jensen, and I owe him a milkshake

Well it's been a crazy week! Did lots of service at the beginning and than Elder Jensen and Elder Metcalf decided that they wanted to do the oldest splits/companionship in the mission. So last Saturday we went on exchanges. Elder Jensen and Elder Metcalf decided to do about 10hours of straight knocking (just to have claimed to have done it haha). What happened after those 10 hours????? They knocked about 501 doors (400 was their goal), they got 5 appointments, 14 potentials and 2 new investigators!!!!!!! No joke because of that the area of Viborg is just nuts!!! It literally has probably tripled in size!! We have something scheduled everyday for the next week!!!
Speaking of which... transfers!!! Yah it was really sad to say goodbye to Elder Jensen but I actually was more excited!!! Because you may have noticed with the heading.... But I got a call from President Sederholm this past Thursday. And he told me that I will be getting my MTC Companion Elder Durrant!! Elder Jensen totally called it!! And man I am so excited!!!! I actually told Elder Jensen I would buy him a mKilkshake if it happened so it was more celebration than anything haha. May I just say that I am so excited to be with Elder Durrant!!! We both are just so pumped and stoke to be together and practically destroy the area!!!! We're going to try our hardest to have so much work for the Elders who take over next transfer haha. Well that's the news update. Hope you all have a wonderful week! Thanks for everything and yes this is my last transfer. =(

Milkshake anyone?

And I found a grave in the viborg cathedral that fit me just perfectly. Fitting for the fact I am dying this next transfer. ahah

"I was wondering if you would mind offering something like a prayer?"

Well it is weird to believe that I will be killing Elder Jensen next week. Actually we did the math with splits and I'll be done working with him on Friday haha. With splits and him going to Aarhus the night before transfers. So weird. What's even weider is that my next companion will be killing me next transfer!!! AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Totally not excited for that at all!!! Elder Jensen is calling that I'll be getting my MTC companion Elder Durrant and we'll just commit suicide together haha.

Man as far as this week goes.... we've been busy with lots of service. The awesome spring weather has been coming in and I'm enjoying getting my tan back on! We've taught a couple times but it just seems like we've been doing service for the majority of it haha. I need to take more pictures =(.

But random miracle happened yesterday! We were walking home and a guy contact us. ''Hey sorry! I've seen you all like everyday. I recently just had surgery because I have cancer. I was wondering if you would mind offering something. Like a prayer...'' Yah totally!!!! He was in pain the whole time it was really sad. We said a prayer and offered to give him a blessing another time at his home and we exchange our number! He's in his 30's and may I just say that It was awesome! Even though he went to go buy beer afterwards to be relieved of the pain..... but defiantly an awesome experience!!!

that's all I got for this week! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Late easter package.. Thanks Mom!!!

Do I hear technology coming into Denmark Copenhagen Mission?

No we don't have I-pads haha.

But an amazing thing that we found out this past week at Zone training is that President Sederholm gave us full authorization to share the initiative #BecauseHeLives video with the people we know. And especially the people that the Spirit touched into our minds during Zone training. And with this permission we are now able to regularly get on Facebook and share this message to everyone! But only the initiative. So for all those who just want to chat on Facebook, sorry I'm not able to do that haha. Unless you want to talk Gospel and meet with the missionaries =) haha.
But a funny story also I am currently locked out because of it haha. Apparently Facebook didn't like the changes I made on my facebook account and also for the fact that I did it all the way randomly from Denmark haha. So I guess it means opposition in all things haha. But I hope to have that back up in running in no time so that I can continue to share #BecauseHeLives with others and to help others to come unto Christ and discover, embrace and share that He truly lives!!!
That's been pretty much the highlight of the week! Actually during Zone training I had several people come to mind to share this message with. One in particular came stronger than most. So I hope to hear from them when my facebook is back up and running. The Gospel is true! More importantly He LIVES!!!
We've done a ton of service also and spending time finding people. But I don't have a ton of time today, because we are going to go explore some caves that are close to Viborg. But Have a great week Everyone!!!

May I just say best day ever to find this!!! =)

Conference Is So Awesome!!!

To start off with we were able to watch the first session of General Conference with a less active. Unfortunately, his girlfriend was really sick. But our awesome less active, who really needs to be active, really loved Elder Perry's talk on marriage and the family life! We have had the opportunity to teach a new investigator this week. He is so awesome! We met with him on Friday and Monday. And yesterday he told us that he had a ton of questions for us. We cleared up some of the questions that he had found on the internet about the Mormon religion. But we also found out that he is soaking up everything about the church. He has even watched the one hour Joseph Smith:The prophet of the Restoration!!! And he just loved it. He keeps telling us that he is taking small steps, but in my eyes he is just leaping closer to our Heavenly Father and Christ!

A mini miracle that happened after interviews this past Thursday. We received a phone call from, who we think is our land lord, informing us that she would like to show our apartment to a couple the next day. We scheduled for a time and quickly found out that it conflicted with our appointment with our new investigator. So we needed to inform him because we didn't have his phone number. I was feeling pretty good as soon as we got back home. So we wanted to start knocking an area close to our new investigator and then go over to change the appointment. We got to our knocking place and immediately found out that it was buzz boxed shut. It was just a couple minutes before 7, which 7 is normally when this complex locked up. We realized that the possibility of our investigators complex would be locked up, seeming that it was on the same buzz box system. We decided it couldn't hurt to try and see.

We walked over and found out that the door was still unlocked! We were able to re-schedule the appointment and we decided to start knocking the rest of that section of the complex. We walked down the flight of stairs to the next door to knock on. We knocked on the door and a young woman answered. We used the initiative and invited her to watch the #becausehelives video. We asked if we could come back and tell her more. She was very happy and said yes! We made our way out the door and found the door to the complex to be locked! The buzz boxes had just turned on.

In my eyes it couldn't have been more perfectly timed!!!  The fact that we scheduled for the wrong time that conflicted with another appointment. Than having the need to change our appointment with our investigator. Going over to find out that the complex next to his was locked up. But ironically finding the investigators section to be un-locked and opened. And the fact of knocking on the 1st door to find the young woman home and able to share the initiative with her!! I really feel like this was a manifestation from Heaven! Coincidences just don't exist in missionary work. I have a strong testimony in that!'

Hope everyone enjoyed conference! Have an amazing week and thanks for all that you do! Keep serving and helping!

#Helives video

Had the opportunity to go on exchanges with Elder Parry (MTC BUDDY!!) and Elder Burton. And Elder Jensen and Elder Burton found a knocked into investigator!!! They came back for lunch all excited that they knocked on a door and were let in and taught the Restoration with a return appointment! Things are looking great on finding people in Viborg.

Now a bit of a bummer part of the week was our appointment with couple last Saturday. The boyfriend started asking about Baptisms for the Dead because he was asked about it from a friend. After answering his question we asked his girlfriend about baptism. Unfortunately, she responded that she feels like it's a huge commitment. She wants to be able to go into it 100%. Wants to completely give up drinking and partying with her friends, even though she's told us in the past she'll be willing to give that up. Than she also added that she and her boyfriend are not ready to get married just yet. Told us that she doesn't anticipate on being baptized right now. But that is part of Missionary work!!! All we can do is invite others to come unto Christ!! It's there decision in the long run. They are still so awesome and we look forward to continue teaching them!! It's the promise the Alma taught his son Helaman, ''By small and simple means are great things brought to pass''.

So it was a little bit of a sad experience to see but Elder Jensen and I agreed that the time is just not now. We shared #BecauseHelives video (Which I recommend to everyone) with them last time and invited them to bring questions to General Conference that could help them come closer to Christ. Hopefully we will be able to watch the first session Saturday night with them. But we'll keep hoping and praying for them.

That's been the highlight of the week actually. Been really busy with some service projects and finding awesome people to teach! Hope everyone checks out the #Helives video! It's amazing! Have a great week!

Plotting to kill Elder Jensen

Drum roll on transfers......... I am staying with Elder Jensen in Viborg!!! Found out several things at a Zone Conference about the future of my mission.
1) I will be killing Elder Jensen. haha He will be moving back home after this transfer is over.

2) I have only 2 transfers left (12 weeks) AHHHHHHHHH!!!

3) I will be dying in Viborg as a missionary =(

So sad. I am literally at the same point Elder Jensen was at when he first moved to Viborg with me. Like all I need to do is go through the missionary training program again and I will be going home =( sad realizations =(

But I am happy that I will be serving with Elder Jensen for another transfer. It indeed has been a fun transfer and we look forward to the hard work and fun that we will be doing in the coming weeks! It's going to be awesome!!!

As far as the work in Viborg is going. We actually been having tons of success. We have been enjoying finding people daily and working to teach them too!. We actually just started to knock in an apartment complex and a man answered the door with his 2 year old son in a laundry basket. We had a nice talk with him and he invited us to come back and tell him more about our message!!! A young family! Wahoooo!! Jo Tak!! This branch needs it haha.

We also were able to finally teach that couple, that we had an awesome lesson with 2 weeks ago. They truly have come closer to our Heavenly Father, to Christ and to each other. They love reading in the scriptures and praying together! They want to keep doing it!! It's been an awesome week!

Well that's all I got for this week. I hope you have a wonderful week and keep reading and praying! It works if you didn't know!!!

Regneskov

Regneskov and Flying Monkeys with Elder Sakurada!

Been a very quick week for us here in Viborg. Honestly not too much to tell for the week. We had the opportunity to go to Randers for companion exchanges and we have been enjoying a week of birthdays!! Elder Jensen was just baking a ton of cakes for all of us. And had the opportunity to go to the Regnskov (indoor rain forest) I got to go with Elder Zack Sacurada again! It was so great! Regneskov is really something to see!We had giant bats flying over us and petting monkeys. Just been a fun week. Been doing a lot of finding people and having success seeing the blessings of the Lord being poured out in Viborg. The family we are teaching has been sick so have not been able to meet with them this week; we are praying for them.

I love serving the Lord! There is nothing else I would rather be doing with my life now, or ever! I am humbled and honored to represent Him! It truly is an awesome privilege to spend 2 years in this part of the mission world. I hope that everyone can see the hand of the Lord in their day to day lives. I know that I can. The Church is so true!
Love you all and have a wonderful week!

What did you learn, feel, and what are you going to do?

It been a bit of a fast week but also a slow week. We've had pretty much all of our appointments cancel on us
My missionary scripture has been on my mind recently. I find it ironic because I think the Lord is putting it to the test for me to see if I truly do believe it. It is Alma 36:3 and Mosiah 23:21-22.

3 And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day.

21 Nevertheless the Lord seeth fit to chasten his people; yea, he trieth their patience and their faith.

22 Nevertheless—whosoever putteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day.

I am so grateful to be serving right now! Because this scripture is so true!! One thing I think the Lord is trying to tell me is that I need to stop believing in huge road blocks and just keep taking life one day at a time. Push forward and work. And just see if I (the Lord) will bless you for your efforts. He's not just going to heal me from everything over night. He's not going to bless the area with huge success or baptisms over night. It's a process. In church yesterday a question was asked how long does one really need to repent. And one answered for our entire lives! It's time to just put the hand to the plow and keep pushing forward and never looking back. This work is truly amazing! It may seem slow some days but this is everything to the Lord. Who doesn't enjoy being in the service of God!?!?

Especially for what happened with a couple we taught Thursday night. It truly was probably the best lesson that I've been too. The Spirit led the entire lesson! The couple were so touched by the Spirit. At the end they both had the desire to act on His (the Saviors) invitations. It completely shocked me on how much the boyfriend of the couple was touched. At the end he offered the first kneeling, closing prayer. It's one of the best prayers I have ever heard from him. You could literally just hear the desire of the promises that were just made to him. He truly wanted to make an extra effort to read and make his way back into activity in the church!! The girlfriend could really feel of the Spirit and it helped increase her desire to be baptized!!!

I suppose that I should explain what happened. It was a lesson that was completely taught by the Spirit. It really helped me to understand how much He really does help us and how He is the one that teaches people and not us. I really felt like we were instruments in God's hands for this appointment. The lesson plan was just absolutely so small and so simple that anyone could have taught it. Yet, it was exactly what not only what this couple needed to hear but what Ældste Jensen and I needed to hear as well. I have so much a deeper respect for Alma 37:6 "behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass".

The lesson we planned to teach them was about pray and scripture study. Haha what do you know small and simple things. Our commitment to this couple was to read the scriptures daily and then to kneel in prayer, while thinking our their feelings for each other and their feelings for their Heavenly Father, daily for a week. Not too big of a commitment but absolutely so powerful. Our plans for them changed at least 5 times at least because every time we roll played it. We found something that we needed to change or do better. And that was only possible because they canceled all of the appointments we had until last Thursday. Where we learned the final piece of information that we needed to learn. Which was in our zone training earlier that day where we again roll played that same lesson again another 3 times. Which, we learned from each other things that they would say and how they would react. It really was the most refined lesson I have every heard. We were 100% sure on every single point of our lesson. Anyway, we came to find out the last thing(s) we needed to have in our lesson. That was 3 questions to ask on following up with our investigators. These three questions are as follows: 1) What did you learn? 2) What did you feel? 3) What are you going to do? Beautiful questions that not only can be used for following up but during the lesson. Oh, how grateful I am for this.

We came to their house and started asking how things were going and began with a prayer. In which girlfriend (investigator) gave a wonderful prayer to know and learn what she needed to. So great! We then asked them if they had been reading and they said yeah a little bit. So we asked them the three questions which was absolutely great. In which they responded exactly how we did when we roll played the lesson for the last time. How great the Lord has been to us for giving us what we needed to know to teach. Which we let us dive right into our lesson. We started by reading from Alma 37: 35-37 then 38-47. Talking about scripture prayer and scripture study and the importance of it. After reading these few scriptures the thought came to Elder Jensen again to ask them the same three questions. It was absolutely beautiful what they said and they really understood what the scripture was being said. We then told them why we picked out this lesson for them and all the preparation we went through and told them that this lesson is one that we know is just for them to help them. We told them the biggest part of the lesson was the commitment we were going to give them. We than gave them the commitment to read daily together and to pray together daily, while thinking of their thoughts for each other and for their Heavenly Father, for a week. We bore powerful testimonies when they did daily scripture study and prayer together. Than Elder Jensen promised them that if they would be 100% obedient to this and be diligent in doing it that their love for each other would grow 10 fold. And that they would feel a more of the love that our Father in heaven as for them. Also, that they wouldn't have to worry about their economical problems that they would be ok as they put the Lord first. Then Elder Jensen came back with those 3 questions again and some other questions absolutely being lead completely by The Holy Ghost. He asked: With what you have learned and felt today, do you believe that you have a Father in heaven who loves you? Do you believe that Jesus is your Savior and Redeemer and that you can do all things through him? (To which they answered "yes") With this knowledge are you willing to be agents to act and do what we have asked you to do? They said YES!!! It was so powerful! We than bore testimony again and promised them the same things as we did before.

This will absolutely be one experience that I will never forget. One that The Holy Ghost still testifies to me is true and is what they needed to hear. Also, what I needed to hear. I love this work and I hope everyone has a wonderful week! Keep reading from the scriptures and Praying. It really does work!!!

Role Playing

Been a crazy week of just planning. I think Elder Jensen can attest to it, it so far has been needed to teaching one of our investigators. In the past week a couple have cancelled our appointments for sickness and busyness in the week. And it has been interesting to see all the changes to our lesson plans everyday since Thursday for them. We have been role playing and each time brings more light into what we need to teach. We believe that we have a better idea on how to teach them about prayer and scripture study. We have spent everyday refining and making our role plays and lesson plans better.

It's weird that we haven't gotten the normal way of getting an idea, role playing that, and getting spiritual confirmation that that is what we needed to teach. But the revelations have been coming slowly, gradually, and little by little everyday. We are set to teach them (hopefully) on Thursday after Zone training. I look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for this couple that we're teaching. They are just so awesome. And we are really hoping that they will choose the Lord's will.

You all will probably be glad to hear (and also my parents) that I finally got a hair cut. Been trying to do it for the past couple of weeks but haven't had the chance to do it until now. I'm just worried now that I am losing hair and becoming bald like my dad. =) Might as well accept it now haha.

We also have found another new investigator that missionaries from last year taught. She is a wonderful woman. And we get the impression that she actually knows the church to be true. Just a few things holding her back like her family relationship and the idea of turning her back on them. She recognizes the Spirit and enjoys the feelings that come from it.

Well I hope that everyone can see the Lord's hand in their lives. If not I invite you all to pray about God's love for you. Because it is there!!! The Saviour lives and He is also there. He loves each and everyone of you. I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!!

Keep on Shining

Man it has been a busy week. We have seen a ton of things happen. We have found many people who wish to hear a little more about the Church. We have actually picked up a new investigator from recent convert! Turned out to be his daughter!!!! It was pretty awesome to just see it unfold. We went over to visit our new convert and turned out his daughter was visiting. We started talking with her and she was asking some great questions!!! Her father was even teaching her as well! At the end she offered to do the prayer herself!!! We asked if there was anything we could do and she asked if we could come and do some service for her.

A couple days latter we went and hanged a lamp on the ceiling, Lower a shelf, and put up a soap dispenser. May I just say how awesome it was to use power tools again!!!! I will admit that I am so grateful to have craftsman in the US!!! These little battery powered screw drivers just didn't do justice =(. But It was so much fun to drill into some walls again!!! At the end of a very long service project, took an hour to find all the missing pieces to the lamp haha. We asked if we could come back and talk with her. She readily agreed! And we will now be teaching her with her father (the new convert)!! Look at that Member missionary work actually pays off in a very small branch!

Well it's been an awesome week! I hope that everyone has a great week. Last week of February Man I feel like I'm getting old. My siblings just past their birthdays, college is coming up and everyone just looks so young in the mission. Not too many old guns left haha. So weird to think that I am going to be one of those old guns (who knows I could be already haha). Have a great week! Keep on Shinning!

Amazing Week

Well I can honestly say that it has been an amazing week! We had the opportunity to visit with an awesome couple twice this past week. The first time we talked about the Atonement of the Savior and the second about answering questions on baptism, showing baptismal interview questions and on service. While we were talking with the girlfriend about what will happen when she is baptized she turned to her 'boy friend' and said ''I want to be baptized!''. Completely threw me in a warp hole. All we need to do is help them get married haha. But we will be meeting with them again on Wednesday and we look forward to teaching them about marriage and the law of Chasity.

Another crazy thing was that we visited with a less actives mom, who is also less-active. Shared a small message with her, than the next day she popped in for church! She sat in and listened and participated. We had the opportunity to talk with her and she opened up her feelings to us. She talked about how she wants to come back because of one of the members persistence of being a friend and inviting her and also how Elder Warner said to her that ''The Skive branch needs her''. And this whole time she was feeling the opposite of that. She told us that if she was going to come back than she needed to do it faithfully and as a member missionary. She has purchased even a Preach My Gospel to help her with that!!! She also will be helping our new senior couple today with getting around Viborg. It is safe to say by the start of March she will be reactivated! The Skive branch is growing! What a blessing to be a part of it!

Oh and we also got a senior couple (previously mentioned). They are awesome! They will be staying here in Viborg and doing Records Preservation. Because Viborg has a national achieve base here for family history. We helped them move in and they are just awesome.

Well hope everyone has a great week! Keep letting your lights shine! You never know how much good you do everyday!!!
P.S I love our living prophet!

Sad to say goodbye to Elder Warner!

Yep we got transfer calls this past Friday. We found out that Elder Warner will be moving to Svenborg. And we also found out that I will be yet with another older missionary and his name is Elder Jensen!!! (pronounced danish way yen-sen) haha. He has been on the mission for almost two years and is pretty awesome!

But it has been an amazing week! We have had the opportunity to see the Lord's hand truly turn the city of Viborg's work around 180 degrees!!!!! We have found so many new investigators and have taught a ton of lessons. One of the people we taught this past week actually wants to be baptized!!!! There has been so much success that has happened in the past week. I've never taught this many lessons in a week on my mission! It's just unbelievable to describe.

We said goodbye to Cecilia (the car) yesterday. But luckily she will be transferring to Skive's area. haha. So the car is still nearby haha. Don't think that President trusts my stories of getting better a 100% haha. But it has been an amazing week" I hope that everyone can feel of the blessings and the work of salvation unfold. the Lord truly is hastening his work! I know that this is true! Have an amazing week and keep letting your lights shine!!!

Younger Missionaries have a lot of faith!

Well not much to report on. haha. Actually this email is going to be short because we need to take an essentials preparation day because we're going to have a district activity in Randers on Thursday.
But everything is going well in Viborg. This past week has been extremely busy. We had the opportunity to find tons of new people this week. We were able to go to Randers for companion exchanges. It is amazing to see the faith in the younger missionaries. I was with my companion and he didn't want anyone to by pass him. He was a contacting machine. Than we started knocking and he proposed the idea to knock a section again because not very many people answered the first time. My initial thought was 'well we could just keep going were you left off'' But than I thought differently and thought why not? I really didn't go into it with much hope. We started knocking and after the 5th or 6th door we already gave out a Book of Mormon and a couple of pamphlets to different people. Sheesh!!! Than after we left the building we contacted a woman and had a 20 minute discussion with her. Man it just goes to show you don't give up early or don't say no to an okay idea! haha.

Me and Elder Warner have seen great success in the Viborg area. It is great to see how much the Lord has blessed us even when we were out of commission for a while. The Church is so true! If you don't know it than FIND out for yourself!!! I know that our Saviour lives and loves us. We have an Eternal Father in Heaven and he is ready to answer the question that we have when we humble ourselves before him! I love you all and wish you all have a marvelous week!

Is it not great to be a missionary?

May I just say it has been an awesome week! I had the opportunity to come to Aarhus and go on splits with my Zone leaders. Man I have never walked so much during the course of these past 2 months! It was amazing to see and feel of the missionary work just flowing within me and my companion of who I was working with. We found many potentials on the streets! Every stop by we did we were able to teach them! There were so many who felt of the Spirit and were taught Gods truths! I truly saw the blessings of the Lord pour out to us while doing His work!
After an awesome zone training, last Thursday, I was able to go to Skive and work with my old companion Elder Demordaunt and we continued doing work with the Spirit of the Lord. We came back to Viborg and me and Elder Warner were able to find so many people in the past two days!!!! The Lord is truly blessing us in this work. It's amazing to get the feel of it when I have been practically out of commission in the past 2 months. What a blessing to know that God lives! That His Son, Jesus Christ, Lives also! And that this is His and Their work! I hope everyone will feel the love and joy of being missionaries and angels in many peoples lives! I hope you all have a wonderful week! Thanks for everything that you all do!

New Year??? = War Zone!!!

Well the title in the heading stands true! We had to be in athepartment by 6 oclock on the 31st of December. And by 7 oclock, at night, we had fireworks blowing up right out side our door haha. These are the type of fireworks people go to concerts and 4th of July festivals for!!!. This is one thing I will miss when I leave Denmark. The madness and awesomf the apartment.
eness of the New Year! The next morning the fireworks kept going off all day haha. Not as frequent but crazy! We had to still stay in the apartment until 6 oclock, at night, doing a deep clean o
In sad news but spiritual news, this past week a member in the branch past away. We had the opportunity to go to his funeral on Saturday. He was the only member of his family and the family asked if the church would hold the service. It was amazing! The talks that were given and just the feel of the Spirit, while being in that room full of non- members was priceless. There were many in that room that were deeply touched. One young gentleman came up to one of the members who gave a talk and said ''Thank you. This has been a wonderful service. Your words touched me''. Many other said that ''there is something special about this church''. and ''We can truly notice that our father/brother was loved in this church and had a connection with the members''.

The Spirit was definitely in that room! The Plan of Salvation was taught to at least 50 non-members of the church. Their hearts were comforted with the thought that there brother/father and friend passed away and returned to his family in the next world. I know without a doubt in my mind that this Church is true and that many were touched on that day! This plan that God has for us cannot fail! We all will see each other in the next life! More importantly we will see our Father in Heaven and Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and we will be able to physically embrace them! I invite everyone to learn of God's love for us and get a confirmation of His plan! Happy New Year! I hope everyone can continue to draw closer to our Father in Heaven and His Son this next year!

Game night for New Years

And Classic Danish celbration of the New Year (no it doesn't have alcohol in it)

Chrstmas Lunches = Death

So not to freak anyone out but nobody actually died haha. But we have had a great week with the members and helping build their testimonies of the Saviour. We were able to Skype home to our families. This will definitely be a time that I will look back on. I had the opportunity to spend 10 minutes with each of my family members and talk with them. It is a moment that I will truly cherish and love. One of the greatest Christmas's that I have ever had in my entire life!

But the biggest highlight of the week was that on Friday we had two eating appointments with members (all 4 missionaries present). We were expecting a small meal for lunch. A classic Danish lunch. We arrive and the branch president's wife says ''Well I hope you are hungry.... I made you Jul resten!!.....(which means everything that is made for Christmas I have made for you....).'' She even made a schedule of what we would be eating. NO JOKE!!! There were 12 dishes!!!! ANd they weren't small portion of dishes. They were full-sized! DEATH I SAY haha. The first half was all fish dishes. And everybody knows how much I love fish >=P. Than we just ate and ate and ate!! Because it's Christmas season and Danish tradition to have long meal times especially during the holiday season, we had the permission to have long eating appointments. Well we started at 1pm and we finished eating at 5pm. We literally ate non-stop!!!! Had a few breaks but it was never going to be enough. Than we got driven with pain in our stomachs from stuffing ourselves, to our next eating appointment. All I was able to put down was a piece of meat, half a potatoe, some red cabbage, and rice pudding. IT TOOK ME 2 HOURS TO DO SO!!! I felt so bad for the members because they spent time making so much food. But we all couldn't do it haha. I came home and found out I gained 6lbs. from all the food!!!! And I still haven't lost any of it. haha. That is what the missionaries gift was in Skive for Christmas. DEATH!!! haha.

Well this is all the time that I have. I hope everyone has had the opportunity to come closer to the Saviour during this Christmas season. I Love you all and wish you et godt nyt år!!! ( A happy new year) Thanks for everything!

Prayers Answered

Well I want everyone to know that your thoughts, fasting and prayers have been answered. This past Friday I got a call from my mission president and his wife concerning my leg. Turns out from the biking injury I have some damage to my leg. But I basically have a 50-60 year old sized cartilage in my knee. So I am waiting for the doctor in Denmark to give me more of an update and see what I can do. But have have permission to keep working and continue being a missionary for the next 6 months!!!! This has been a great week! Miracles do happen!
I have been trying to build my strength up with my leg. (Such as putting more pressure on it or using it more daily.) We have been trying to switch back over into things. But I would like everyone to know that what I said last week stands true today as it does for the eternities. The Savior LIVES! Please during this week think of the Savior. He is our master and captain. He loves us! He came to this Earth for us! It is through him that we can be saved! Please accept his invitation. ''Come and follow Me''. He wants us to come. He is knocking and we are the only ones who can let Him in. Glæde Jul! (Merry Christmas) And may you all feel of the Savior's love during this holiday season! Have a great week! Have a Merry Christmas and thanks again!

''For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, should not perish but have everlasting life.'' John 3:16

A man who got baptized in Aalborg this past week! The Church is True!!

Rumors about my stupid knee

Well it seems like the Rumors about me have been spreading lately haha. There has been quite a few people ask me about it, but I would like to set a few things straight.
Just over a year ago I had a bike accident. The result seemed at the time that it would fix itself. But randomly the past month, my leg has been getting sharp pains around the spot where I got injured the most during the bike accident. I recently, this past week, had an MRI scan for my leg. If it turns out that I will need excessive surgery than I would have to come home from my mission and be released as a missionary, because the recovery process could take between 6-8 weeks. I am currently waiting for the results from my doctor.

As the Lord has said it ''Your days are be numbered''. I want everyone to know that if I were to come home early from my mission than I will not regret anything that has happened. I know without a doubt in my mind that if the Lord needs me home right now it is for a reason. I have gotten to know my Savior so much on my mission! I believe and trust Him! I know that He lives! I know that He suffered for us. The Atonement (suffer of Christ for us) covers so many levels in life. I have tasted and gotten to know more of the Atonement in the past 18 months, than any other point in my life. I know that He has risen from the dead! And I know that because of Him we all can be like him daily and that we can return to live with our Father in Heaven. And it is BECAUSE OF HIM! He is our Captain, our Master, our Shepard. He beckons and desires us, with all his might, ''Come and Follow Me!'' He loves each and everyone of you. There is no trial that we cannot handle in this life. I have a firm testimony of that. Trust him!

I thank you all for your thoughts, love and prayers on my behalf. But when all is said in done, Let the Lord's will be done. I have learned, especially on my mission that the Lord sometimes gives us trials because it teaches us to be humble and that we have to change daily so that we can become more like Him and therefore be the people the Lord wants us to be when we return and meet Him and our Father in Heaven. This is His Church. I invite you all with the best sound of a trump that this email can provide! During this Christmas Season: Discover the Gift, Embrace the Gift and Share the Gift with everyone!!! His fruit is sweet and precious come and find out for yourselves! He truly is the Gift of Christmas! I know this to be true! Have a wonderful week! Love you all and wish you all a Glæde Jul!

He is the Gift

It's been an interesting week. Not much to write on haha. Me and Elder Warner went on exchanges to Randers this past week. Me and another Elder baked cookies all day long! We stayed in for a couple of reason and so that the other 6 elders could go outside and sing carols and than give cookies to members, investigators and peole on the street. Than come back and grab some more cookies. It is safe to say that we made a ton of cookies.

Than we had a crazy time at Zone conference and had a huge presentation about how we will be trying to share #ShareTheGIFT with everyone! This is a wonderful video and it truly delivers the message of Christmas to Everyone! I invite everyone to watch it and than share with other on Facebook Twitter email the whole nine yards!!!! It truly shows and tells about our relationship with our loving heavenly Father!!!

Than we were shocked to find out that the Assistants pulled a fast one on us. They started to play the Restoration movie (because we watch a movie every year at Christmas). Everyone one was disappointed that we were watching a movie that we have seen a ton on our missions haha. But than they quickly put in the movie Frozen! Everyone was freaking out haha. That was a great movie! But safe to say Don't get married after meeting someone in the same day! haha. But other than that What a wonderful message! ''No great love is than this, that a man layeth down his life for his friends''. I caught some symbolism in that. I hope you all have a great week! And WATCH AND SHARE the He is the Gift Video with everyone! Have a good one.

Best Milk in Denmark

Ok this has been an interesting week. So we came back from Randers after district meeting, we quickly dropped off our stuff and did a drop by. Oh by the way this is on THANKSGIVING!!! After the drop by we noticed that there was music and a parade going on, Santa up front, a band behind with a ton of people with torches behind the band. What is going on?!?!?. We found out that they were lighting the Christmas tree in the town square and so we contacted a few people and practically rushed back home. We both looked at each other and figured all of Viborg was on the gågade anyways and that any other plans we had were probably not the most effective thing to do. So we have the opportuntiy why not take it? We grabbed all the copies of the Book of Mormon that we had in the apartment (8), all our mormon.org cards (about 100), 50 Faith in Christ cards and 2 Joy to the world DVD's. After we wrapped everything up and wrote Glæde Jul on them we went out on the gågade. And after two hours we gave out everything! There were many times were people contact Elder Warner and I because they really wanted a book, they were really interested or we evidently contacted them on the street in the past. We were so happy with what happened! Downside was that we ran out of materials. It's a good thing we have Zone Conference this next week. It was amazing to see the hand of the Lord as we went out and contacted people.

And we had a fun time going out to a place called Thise. Apparently the best made milk in Denmark comes from this city. It was sad to see the store closed. But we got to go to another tree lighting and we sang, missionaries. It was a lot of fun and we had a great time talking to people about the church! Christmas traditions are coming out! We are so happy that we are going to be skyping home soon and that Christmas is right around the corner. I hope you all have a great week! Glæde JUL!!!

Hey you all Check out this video!!!!
